Post Economic Collapse, robotics and AI have overtaken the majority of jobs in Detroit. You have no choice but to live in the central junkyard within the city. Build loyalty, connections, and manage your faction as you take on Detroit’s most dangerous gangs and corporations. Will you side with the Purple Pimps? The industrious Texicon Conglomerate? The DeRust Gang? Or will you remain true to your people and rise up to build your own world?
The thunderstorms had become more frequent and dangerous as the months passed by. This would be called the "Thunder Shroud" due to its extensive damages throughout the TexiCon industrial districts of the midwest. The alloy mega forge complex continued production until the 9th month, when a large piece of debris smashed one of the cooling towers. The mega-forge was shut down for over a month before the damage was repaired to a state of functionality. The mega-forge wouldn't begin production until the Leaders Holiday of 2045, over 2 years since the thunder shroud formed over the North Ameriken Continent. Party members of the deposition council were present at the grand re-opening and the event was broadcast across FedNet Global. This was a propaganda victory as it showcased the TexiCon Corporation's ability to defy natures destruction. The entire area remains a delapidating industrial zone to this day. The mega-forge never reached it's peak production of 2041, as it was permanently shut down in 2049, approximately 6 years since the thunder shroud. Various theories were propagated, as to how this weather phenamena occurred. The official FedNet story is that RioDio, a venuezulan megacorporation, had been manipulating the weather and causing intentional destruction to TexiCon's facilities. Rumor among corpo execs is that the sulfuric salt batteries had been leaking aerosols, and rather than fixing the problem TexiCon simply topped off the mixtures, leading to atmospheric exposure. It's unknown how much pollutants were released, and the thunder shroud has slowly declined throughout the decade proceeding the closure of Mega-Forge.
Computer technology excelled to unprecendted levels in the interim period of the 2030s. After the 2027 war, government initiatives and corporate interests lead the North Ameriken Continent (NAC) into digital prosperity. However, the lessons learned during the first quarter of 21st century were largely lost on the new account managers. Large corporations like TexiCon and YuiYan, a subsidary of FinoTek, were able to acquire the dominant market share in social media applications. This was celebrated a new era, the "Democratization of Social Utilities" or the "DSU Initative." This became problematic when mass psychosis began appearing throughout urbanized districts of North Amerika. Hundreds of residential units were demolished as rioters paraded through the streets. This violence lead to a political polarization within North Amerika, leading to a shift in policy among corpo managers.
The TexiCon Industrial Belt was able to contribute greatly to the Mars Effort. During the 2030s, colonization began with the first Underground Habitable Auxillary Modules (UHAMs) were built. This underground tunneling was mediated by hypercognitive fungi designing the pathways. The fungi itself did much of the work, able to act as a broad spectrum sensor, as well as transmitting and executing programmable code. Geneticists were able to modify in real-time, the genetic code and innerworkings of the fungi. This technique has largely been lost to time, as it was such a niche application that it was rarely ever used outside of obsolecent Mars habitats and deep maintenence catacombs. Numerous bombs were detonated on the surface of mars, to create crators within crators. The Conservatial Council had determined that cratoring was a defilement, but if contained within pre-human crator, there would be no trouble in it. Crators were great spaces for Habitat Domes. With the now extensive underground life support infrastructure, Mars Colonists began to surface and begin building earth-like structures on Mars. Most of Mars population existed within a dozen Arcologies along the horizonal and verticle axes of Mars. Eliki 9 was the first Arcology to create a space elevator. This had been delayed due to extreme weather activity, but eventually every Arcology would have a space elevator. This was considered necessary as space elevators had been notoriously unreliable. They were highly efficient, better than any other option, but every other year had extensive repairs and, while it wasn't costly, it was very time consuming. Eventually self-regenerating carbon nanotubular material was created to address this issue, but that would not occur until after the 22nd century Mars conflict, and most space elevators had been shut down due to bankruptcy and a steeply declining Arcology population. After the first war, most had fled to space habitats, strewn across the star system.
Finding a Medium Pimp Enforcer Corpse
This individual is wearing blood-stained luxury designer anorak in pimp purple velvet. There is a bloody bandolier beside the body, and a large knife within its scabbard. There is no ammo, it was likely taken along with the gun. You notice a few dollars and an empty plastic bag in his hand.
